I have a plumbing emergency, what should I do?

Many appliances and fixtures have service valves that you can turn off. For example, the toilet will have a valve below or beside the cistern. If you can’t find a tap, or that does not stop the leak, then turn off the mains water valve to stop all the water to your residence.

Once that’s done, give us a call, no matter what the day or time is. We’ll be with you rapidly to resolve the problem.

While you are waiting, clear away any significant possessions from the area, and clean up any water or put a bucket to catch any drips. If you’ve turned the mains water off, also switch off the heating for the hot water as well.

Help, I don’t know where the main water shutoff valve is!
